Typographic Hierarchy Response

In this reading it discusses the importance and value on how to lay out text on your design using certain techniques such as size, weight, color and contrast to convey a certain attraction to your work. It talks about the three main levels of hierarchy with text such as, heading subheading and body. The writing talks about playing around and using different size text in your work and making it have a purpose, not making it done without a choice. It also talks about using professional typefaces which I feel is a main component of importance when it comes to designing a piece of work. It talks about combining serifs or san serifs and how using certain typefaces for the mood of the work can ultimately change the mood of the piece.

I found this article to be very insightful because it isn't over bombing you with boring information. It's short and sweet to the point and uses helpful examples and easy wording for any beginning designer or artist to understand and get a better idea of what it means to structure typographic hierarchy within your work.
