2 zine covers

 

For this assignment I knew I wanted to create something like a portfolio piece, something that speaks with me and something that speaks with my artwork. Professionally I want to be a designer but personally outside of the work and class work I create digital paintings that are based off emotions, songs, media, fashion trends, etc. Combining the two has been tricky but overall something I really, really enjoyed. I wanted to create something that caught your attention so I tried imitating this through colors and fonts and even the artwork on the front page. 

Originally I wanted to work with the first zine cover, the girl and the wine colored splatters but by allowing myself to create a variety I think I am going to go with the second one for my cover. 

Working on this assignment I am realizing that I am very excited to create the final product and excited to share what my artwork comes from and what goes in behind to making each and every single unique and identifiable piece.
